“My playlist is just an eclectic mix of artists and genres which pretty much describes my music taste. Some of the songs are very different from one another. I like various kinds of pop, rock, rap, hip-hop, but I’m most partial to indie music, like the Arctic Monkeys. They’re my favorite band of all time. I usually listen to this playlist when I’m just relaxing in my room, or even getting work done. I would describe this playlist’s vibe as chill with a hint of melancholy since some of the songs in it are pretty emotional and/or romantic.” -Karen
To be honest, stripes may not be for everyone, but in this Tosser’s case Karen looks gorgeous. She is wearing green sunglasses from NastyGal, a flower necklace from SoGood Jewelry, a striped top from Love Culture and a skirt and wedges from Forever 21.
Cropped tops are HUGE this summer. Show off some midriff in the summer sun and pair with high waisted shorts for a 90s feel. Even designers often pair a cropped top with a high waisted skirt for a ladylike ensemble.
Karen is wearing a black top and floral skirt from Brandy Melville and a studded bracelet from Tobi.com.
“I was just going for a cute and put together but not too fancy casual look,” says Karen when asked about her look. It’s safe to say that she pulled it off successfully!
Pauline is wearing a black turtle neck crop top and heart-shaped sunglasses from Urban Outfitters, black and grey cheetah print shorts from Pac Sun and black braided sandals from Bakers.
With more to come, here comes the next Tosser Generation! It’s summer, which means bright colors, cool shoes, and an open attitude toward the new trends that are sure to come funneling into our closets. Here’s a closer look at our team and just what fashions they use to make their unique style so very Tosser.
She swore the mattress was already there. Madeline snagged the gorgeous striped dress from her sister, but found her vintage necklace from Shoppe Pioneer over in Providence. The shoes are Jeffrey Campbell and the rings she bought from Etsy. Apparently they come all the way from Tel Aviv. Cool.
Marina cools off in the shade. She smartly wore a cream studded button top and her Dusty Lavender skinny chinos from Forever 21 on this blistering hot day. The matching purple bangle from NYC adds a nice touch and that gorgeous rose gold watch is from Nordstroms.
Because everyone loves a good print, Karen sports a sleeveless blouse with small white print horses to go with her breezy white shorts. She kicks off the outfit with a shiny silver platform wedge, and adds another splash of color with her bright pink toenails.
Lareina rocks the knee high boots from H&M and compromises with the summer heat with her True Religion Daisy Dukes. Her “Mi Casa Es Tu Casa” from ASOS radiates her welcoming attitude and the hat also from H&M, well, the hat is just cool.
Erica takes a break from the Tosser Den. We love the navy shorts that add a bit of class to a modern fashion necessity. The long-sleeve shirt with orange stripes pairs well with the shorts for a conservative look, but the studded shoes finish the outfit with just the right kind of punk.
The Tosser summer team is getting everything in gear for a very exciting Tosser summer in Boston. We’ve got events to plan, Tossers to discover and a massive September issue to plan for a few major bookstore giants! Really exciting things in store. Say hello to the team.
